I think I need a life

You know life is pretty boring here when my recent accomplishments include such things as:

*Removal of the Christmas tree and various Christmas accruements including the tacky outdoor lights without any Sam tears! He helped with the removal of the ornaments and enjoyed it very much. Did you know that if you pull down hard enough the little hook thingies will straighten out completely?

*Cleaning the refrigerator so the shelves are no longer smeared with nasty and mysterious stuff. I don’t understand why it gives me such joy to look into a smear-free refrigerator.

*Removing all the ancient packages of foodstuff on top of the pantry cabinet and tossing them. For some unknown reason there was a bag containing one piece of the dog crate. I don’t want to contemplate the route by which this ended up there in the first place.

*Cleaning the greasy dust from the open cabinet that holds our dishes. Oh yes, the joy of dirt removal. You might think that all this cleaning is the result of a New Years resolution to keep a cleaner house but you would be wrong.

*Getting a haircut (believe me, as boring as it is it is a MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT for me because I detest haircuts AND I was able to get it done without an appointment!) This was done immediately after Sam got his haircut and we have now verified that he has both eyes AND eyebrows.

*Finally finished reading the library books that I’ve renewed three times.

Of course all of these are procrastination for what I really should be doing. Year end tax crap for the business and exercising. Of course I can blame the exercise thang on my problematic ankle and I am trying to let it get back to normal so I can hurt it on the treadmill again. As far as the tax stuff goes, our annoying inept FORMER accountant's errors have taught me some lessons about payroll that I will not forget but that also lead me to believe that I'll find new ways to screw it up that will have repercussions years from now. How can anyone choose to be an accountant?

I'm envious! I love getting rid of crap and having a clean fridge. How pathetic is *that*?

Well, the excitement can be yours...just open that fridge and start to pitch.

And I'm just glad I'm not the only freak.

I also like the smearfree fridge...who invented the glass shelves anyways?

I love a clean frig too! I did mine over the holiday break and I am still opening it to bask in its cleanliness.
I can't believe we've been denied a picture of Sam's new haircut. Oh yeah, and yours too. LOL

Oh, my haircut is just the same old thing but about two inches shorter and it was a cheapie haircut so it's hard to tell it was even done. I was denied the joy of hair salon hair, the stuff you can never do at home, because the cut didn't include wash or blowdry.

And it sounds as though there are lots of us fridge freaks out there. But Phyllis, the problem with the old metal shelves was then you'd get that nasty collection of smoodge on the bottom of the fridge. That's nasty but I guess you usually don't have to see it. Oh, and the chicken juice dripping on the fruit is always nice too....
