Sam's latest idea of fun

Extrication.

Yesterday when he woke up from his nap I walked in on him in the midst of a mountain. Yes, he'd managed to get his arm and head through half a plastic mountain from his train set. He gave a pitiful "mama help!" but of course my first thought was that I needed a camera. Hmmm, probably not the best reflection on my parenting.

And moments ago as I was trying to do email, Sam was crawling around behind me on the chair. Yes, I do blog with a handicap, why do you ask? He started yelling "Stuck! Stuck" and when I turned around he'd managed to get stuck under the arm and back of the chair. In this case my first thought was to call Ben to get the camera because he was doing a full backbend to the floor and screaming and even I couldn't leave him that way. But of course we did get the all important picture. All I can say is that it was worse than it looks in the picture.

I too like to take pictures when my kids do stupid/silly/destructive stuff. Hey, we can't have just pix of them smiling and doing cute stuff -- it's not realistic! My favorite pictures are the ones where they're bawling after getting into something they shouldn't have, and those are their faves too.

Poor Sam! On Friday I got my arm stuck in my desk at work (don't ask!), and it was nasty trying to get it back out . . .

LOL... you know it's only a matter of time before you are going to have to call the fire department to get Sam out of one of these predicaments!
