- Dump at least 200 Q-tips on the bathroom floor. He gets points for helping to clean them up though.
- Tossed all the letter refrigerator magnets that recently emerged from hiatus due to the throwing of said letters all over the floor. Again, he helped clean them up after I pointed out that they might take another vacation.
- Grabbed the new camera, exclaimed "Sammy take picture Lola!" and swung it around wildly. Yes, I know it's my own dang fault for leaving it in his reach but still! He's helping me to refine my reflexes although they're still not fast enough to prevent him from taking a header this afternoon when he tried to climb on the kitchen counter using the trashcan as a very tall stepstool.
- Helped feed the kitties by scattering all the cat food around the room which resulted in the cats running for cover. They weren't sufficiently frightened that they wouldn't poke their heads out to chomp on yet another piece. At least I didn't have to think about cleaning up after him.
- And piece de resistance (if you're squeamish you may want to avert your eyes): he came walking into the kitchen with a dog turd in each hand. I hear your "ewwwwwwws" from here and mine is right there with you. Luckily, I'm a fairly crappy (ha!) housekeeper and it must have happened yesterday since it was pretty dried out and therefore left no visable residue. After I disinfected his hands I had him show me where he found it. Damn dog. Anyone want him? And in my defense (and Ben's since he officially has eyes and the ability to clean up after our aging and somewhat incontinent dog) it was in an out-of-the-way location.
I was highly relieved to leave for yoga class as a full morning of mess and destruction was messing with my serenity.
Oh, and here is Sammyboo with his new haircut. I happen to think he looks a bit like my brother Scott as a toddler in this picture. Or maybe it's just that they both always look as though they're getting into something. Rumor has it that Scott used to say "doing doing" as he did something he shouldn't but alas, Sam doesn't give me any consistent signal of wrongdoing.
Notice the snotty nose? After two nearly snot-free weeks it's back. All I can say is that he better have one heck of a immune system when he hits school.

Dicky and I were watching the news the other day, and there was a report on contaminated dog food that has been killing dogs all over the country by causing liver faiure.
Umm, just a thought . . .
Where can I get my hands on some of that stuff.....
Oops, I didn't really say that, did I?
