Good Ben!

Ben has been very ambitious over the last couple of days. He's pulled everything out of the closet in the living room and encased the asbestos-laden pipe in wood which resulted in the need to replace all the woodwork in said closet. He's now patching and sanding. I'll probably do the painting when it's ready to go.

This is one of those projects that never quite made it to my to do list because, er, it was just a saftey issue. Who worries about those? But it's terrific that it's on the way to being complete. Now, just to drive LisaTV-VT crazy, I'm posting a picture of where all the closet items have landed in the meantime.

And yes, I am using it as an excuse to NOT work out today. As though I need a lot of incentive. When Sam falls asleep for his nap (he's currently playing and chatting in there) I'm going to sneak across the street and go see a friend who has a new baby I have yet to meet in person. Don't worry! Ben is here to watch a sleeping Sam...I'm not about to leave him alone although I do understand the temptation.

Oh, our dinner last night sans Sam was a nice break for us but less so for our friends who were watching Boo. Turns out that their little guy kept whacking Sam on the head and they ended up keeping the boys separated for the better part of the evening. I imagine if we were at our house Sam would have been the instigator. Ben's mom, Susan, and I went to pick up Sam after dinner and when Susan walked in the door Sam yelled "Susu!" and did a little happy dance. Very sweet. And he got his first personalized Valentine card from a girl last night too. Big night for Booboo. We finished the evening with pumpkin pie in honor of Seward's birthday.
