That, in case you were wondering, is the inability to see something sitting right in front of your face. I was reminded of that this morning when Ben asked if I'd seen his magazine. I told him that it was on the shelf under the coffee table. He looked and told me it wasn't there. I reached down, pulled it out and handed it to him. I guess he was confused because there were two other items down there on the shelf with the magazine. Very very confusing.
Sam does the same thing. I tell him to go get his helmet so he starts walking around the house, stops right in front of the helmet and yells "I can't find it!"
I guess he takes after Ben.

Oh no, I have mansight, too!
I couldn't find the car registration in the glove compartment the other day, and made Dicky go look. It was right there, in the blue plastic registration case that I was sure I had looked inside.
Then today, I couldn't find my 96 inch measuring tape, and it was right there conveniently visible in the middle of the kitchen floor!
But I still agree that you have employed the correct terminology for this condition.
