Visiting Rosie and the crew

Who is Rosie you may ask? Rosie is a guernsey cow due with her first calf in June and she belongs to our friends Rachel and Finn. We went to visit Rosie, Rachel, and Finn yesterday and this involved significant walking in the mud where Sam discovered his foot could sink into mud up past his ankle. This of course filled him with great joy while I wondered what other substances were included in the mud but then decided there was no point in contemplating that question. Then we went in the house to eat lunch but Sam was just too excited by Finn's toys and couldn't settle down down to eat which translates into food on the go. Sam's carseat shows evidence of many road meals and this time I'd packed peanut butter rolled up in a tortilla as his travel chow. Want to see how that combines with a very tired Boo? Peanut butter belongs on your nose, right?

Oh, I'd named this picture "tuckered" and that reminded me of a story I heard the other day. Seems that someone named their kid Tucker. Once he hit grade school he changed his name and was known as Jason. Can't imagine what teasing brought that about.

Now did YOU put peanut butter on Sam's nose, or did it happen "naturally"?!!

Either way, it's a great picture!

Frighteningly, I took that picture while driving down the road sort of randomly aiming the camera because I needed to get a shot of the pb nose. Moments after that he shifted around and the peanut butter disappeared...I always refuse to think about where it ends up.
