You know, the thing poking through the clouds? Can it be? Is it really? I haven't seen it in so long I can't make a positive identification.
All this rain has highlighted something we weren't aware of before now. It seems that our addition, finished about a year ago, leaks where it meets the existing house! I noticed a few days ago that it looked like there was water damage on the ceiling of our new shower and knew that we weren't spraying the ceiling on a regular basis or doing anything else that could cause it for below. I was suspicious so I made a note of it, but let it be for a bit. Then on Sat. I went into the bathroom to do a bit of business and noticed there was water on the shower door even though no one had been in there for hours and hours. Further investigation led to a discovery that there was water dripping from the light in the shower. All I can think of is all the mold and mildew that must be growing in the space above the ceiling since I'm sure it's been leaking since the roof went on but we didn't have rain in sufficient quantity to get to the point where we actually saw the water. I can smell the mildew and it's making me twitch. I'm sure the ceiling is going to need to come down since at this point it looks a bit squishy and it's expanding so it now looks as though someone set the screws in way lower than the drywall. Just picture the disgusting mildew covered insulation that is going to have to come out and oh what a nightmare this is going to be. Ben called the builder but they've yet to call us back. I'm hoping and expecting the builder will take care of this issue without a fuss although I'm sure he's not going to be happy about it. Neither are we though so I have little sympathy for him right now.

That is indeed the sun! We've been looking at it for about 3 weeks straight, so I'm certain that is it!
Ack...to the water leak. They better fix it.
That sucks about the water leak. While it's still raining (i.e., no particular hurry), look around for any others. You'll want to hit the builder up for repairs all at once!
We've been watching for others and haven't seen any thank goodness. The builder has called us back but we have yet to schedule him to come and check it out.
