A day on your average Vermont farm

Sam and I took the time to explore the typical Vermont farm this morning. As you can see, farms in this area are quite quaint and prosperous and have tremendous views.

It turns out that the reason the farm is so prosperous is that after a little training, they put the visitors to work. Sam had to do a bit of hauling and plowing while he was there. He also collected eggs and just missed his chance at milking the cow. The cheese making area was already well manned so Sam helped by testing all the smoked cheddar cheese to make sure it was edible. Then, during lunch, he fed the local seagulls his chips. Not that he had a choice. With all this help, why are farmers complaining about not being able to make a living?
