Today I called her while Sam and I were having a little hike in Burlington. Yes, it's a very little hike but the weather is perfect and it's Vermont! This is what she missed this morning.
Starting out the path is paved. Note that Sam's shoes are on the wrong feet.
We saw trillium! They were right where we had to stop to pee. 
At the top there is a cute little tower.
With scary pigeons roosting inside.
Oops, apparently there was an unwanted egg.

Little white flowers we saw on the way down.
And some little yellow flowers too.
And then we snacked.

Everything about that hike looks adorable and fun. It sure would beat digging through the boxes that I'm digging through at work right now. Alas, I think only in my 2nd day back to work since vacation, they'd be less than sympathetic about me taking another. Better wait a little while until they forget!!
