Irrational fear

The other day Sam was playing in the bathtub, doing what he calls "slidebacks." Slidebacks are when he sits at the back of the tub and then slides his entire self under the water and screams "I can't hear you!" because his ears are in the water. Then he comes up and laughs and laughs. I decided to try to capture his joy on film so while he was in the water, I took pictures of his face thinking they'd be fun to post.

I previewed them and nearly wept. In each one, it looked as though he was floating in a watery grave, no matter his expression. I couldn't even look at them; they sent shivers up and down my back.

I imagine this all ties in to my fear of him drowning exacerbated by all the recent Titanic discussions even though everyone was saved by submarines. At any rate, I will NOT be publishing the pictures and may even erase them from the server...
