Halloween preparations

Sam is very excited by Halloween and has been asking every morning "Is TODAY Halloween?" Although there are times I'm tempted to say yes just so he'll dress up in his costume and ask everyone for candy I have been honest. So far.

Today we did a bit of prep work by decorating the front bushes. This hungry spider prefers tigers, lions, hippos, horses, zebras and various other wild animals. Why wait for something as mundane as a fly to come by? This reminds me of a movie that scared the hell out of me when I was a kid though -- something about a huge spider that caught people in its web and had them for dinner.

Sam did some practice trick or treating although not in costume. Our neighbor complied with his request so Sam scored some candy corn and here you see him eating it while standing under a giant sunflower. We admired the last little bit of fall color.
Then we went home and made cupcakes.

Heh, heh...only when you are 3 are you cute enough to get away with trick or treating 2 weeks early! Go Sam!!

THe cupcakes are cool. I like the tombstones. I might steal your idea.

Beth, I don't know the name of the movie but if it had people hanging through a spider web it was probably the one.
