There were some adorable costumes out there. And some stinkers. And some of both.
There was pumpkin tossing from an unexpected location -- a steamboat in the middle of a field. It made a very nice splooshing noise.
I think Champ may have recognized Sam from their earlier adventures. Or maybe he just thought Sam was a mini-Champ instead of a green shark.
Near the end the only thing Sam was interested in was the important business of eating candy.

The funny thing is that when we got home from our practice trick or treat session he gave all the chocolate candy to a neighbor girl that stopped by while he ate all the Skittles, Smarties, and Twizzlers. Apparently he likes his sugar unadulterated by fat.
Update: Yesterday Sam told me "I wish I could be Spiderman for Halloween." Arghhhhhhhh! I knew we were already nearing the end of the homemade costumes and original ideas such as his purple dragon from last year but I thought we might at least get through this year.

Yes, being surrounded by children was VERY spooky. I am home today, trying to recover from the horror.
Of course Sam prefers twizzlers to chocolate --Ben is his father!
