Crafty moment this morning

I've been trying to use cloth bags when I go get groceries and such because I'm so tired of have heaps of flimsy plastic bags around the house all the time. Now that we're no longer in the diaper years, my need of these bags had decreased greatly.

I've picked up bags here and there, freebies through work for the most part. There is one that was bothering me though, it has a "parent in prison" theme that just doesn't resonate with me for some reason or maybe I just don't want people to think I've been in prison, my parents have been in prison, etc. I could turn it inside out but the structure of the bag is such that it doesn't easily flip so I did the next best thing...I had Sam decorate it!

He loved it because I let him use the Sharpies, something I never do because I still haven't gotten the Sharpie marks off the table two years after his last use of said markers.

I asked him to decorate the first side and he put little tiny smiley faces everywhere which cover enough of the writing that it isn't as easy to read as in the past. Please use your own interpretive skills to determine the meaning of the lines around the outside.
But the second side is his mini masterpiece. Ben is on the left, I'm on the right (Ben said he reminded Sam that I should have hair but I love the way it looks as though I'm playing a guitar) and Sam is in the middle. The blocky red things are MoMo and Lola, the kitties. I think we're all aliens but in a good way.

Sweet! We have been making the move away from plastic (we used them for dirty kitty litter, but now have biobags for that) and I am acquiring quite the collection of cloth and vinyl bags, mostly from Trader Joe's, one from Ikea. I like the idea of the personally decorated ones!
