We spent all day outside today because it was a beautiful sunny day. During this time we:
1. Walked to our friends house.
2. Walked back to our house to get Sam's bike.
3. Rode to another friend's house.
4. Sam rode and rode and rode while I screamed at him to stop but he wouldn't, not at all. I was walking with three other kids and couldn't run to catch up with him to physically stop him immediately. He was nearly to a busy road when a woman who saw what was happening grabbed him and made him stop. She's an angel.
5. Sam's punishment is three days without TV. I've got to hit him where it hurts or he won't care.
6. Sam says he was riding so fast he didn't want to stop.
7. Played in the stream in the woods. Sam had his pants rolled up to the middle of his thighs and was wearing his winter boots which were totally soggy. Perfect kid fun. Sticks and mud and water and leaves and logs over the water and an old stone bridge and good friends.
8. Rode back to drop off friend one.
9. Rode home again.
10. Picked up the farm share and ran into more friends.
12. Played on the swing set.
13. Played with the hose.
14. Dug holes.
15. Hit a baseball.
Gee, I wonder why he's exhausted and filthy this evening? An early bedtime is definitely on the agenda -- for me as well as Sam!

Sounds like a great day. Did Sam fall in the water. You managed to do that almost everytime you were playing near the water. We always brought extra clothes for you. Glad his foot isn't bothering him much.
Man, I'm tried just reading about it!
