Tomorrow is Ben's birthday

But since it's a work day for me I made his cake today in between doing all sorts of things. Unfortunately I never got around to mowing the grass.


Ben requested German Chocolate cake, the same cake he made for me on my birthday. I did it the easy way with three separate pans rather than Ben's method which involved only one pan three times. But I did it with "help." Now, Sam thought we should have a train cake because, well, he loves trains.

Update: We were not able to resist...we celebrated early.

Another update: There is a downside to using powdered sugar as decoration on a birthday cake. Just think what happens when the candles are blown out....
