No, I'm not making fun of the circus, that's the name! From their website: "Circus Smirkus is a non-profit, award-winning international youth circus founded with a mission: to promote the skills, culture and traditions of the traveling circus and to inspire youth to engage in life-changing adventures in the circus arts."
Ah, the circus, what kid doesn't like the circus? Apparently Sam. He asked to leave before the show even started. It was loud, dark, hot, and crowded; I can't imagine why he didn't want to stay.
We watched some incredibly talented, strong, and bendy people and convinced Sam to stay through most of the first half of the show by bribing him with his favorite part of the circus. The cotton candy.

Yo, I love your shirt - it's cute!
Hope Sam will be more interested next year. The Smirkus shows are amazing--talented teens flying through the air, juggling all sorts of thing, clowning around, doing daring acrobatics and amazing aerials. A great summer activity for kids and adults of all ages.
