"My stomach hurts"

Tonight we've got a broken record around here:

"Mommy, my stomach hurts."

"Ow, it really hurts."

"My tummy hurts"

Dinner time comes around. Complaining child eats about eight (small, thin, but still eight!) pieces of pizza. He takes a no thank you bite of his salad.

"My stomach really hurts!"

"I want some dessert. I have space for dessert"

(There is no dessert on the horizon)

"I want something I really want."

(Rummaging around in the freezer occurs and he pulls out a container of small quiches.)

"I want one of these."

"My tummy really hurts."

He eats part of the quiche.

"My stomach really really hurts."

"It hurts."

He's non specific and obviously eating and claims to not feel as though he's going to throw up. What the heck is wrong with him? Gas? I feel as though I'm supposed to be sympathetic but I'm having a hard time feeling that way; I'm finding the repetition more annoying than anything else and I'm afraid it's showing.
