Sam's class went to a Christmas tree farm yesterday and brought a tree back for their school. He's all excited about this and wants to make Christmas decorations at home, decorate the house, and watch the Grinch.
But for the first time he's beginning to understand that he makes a list of stuff he wants and then Santa is supposed to bring them. This morning he told me the things he wanted so I could write them down for him.
- Remote control train that goes all by itself
- Toy airplane that’s remote control and goes all by itself
- Toy teddy bear
- Building blocks
- Slippers
Interesting list. I don't understand the fascination with the remote control stuff because last year he got a remote control truck from Ben and he never plays with it because the batteries are always dead and he just doesn't seem very interested. And now he's looking for two of them? Actually, three because he also asked for a remote control helicopter yesterday. I mentioned that Sam wanted that to my dental hygienist and her response was "Do you have a dog?"
I thought she must have misunderstood what I said but she told me that they'd given her nephew one and the the dog went crazy trying to chase it and each time the helicopter went down it was a race to see who would get there first. That almost makes me want to get a dog.But not enough to actually get a dog.
He already has several small teddy bears, building blocks, and slippers so I'm not sure why those are on the list. I'm just guessing that Santa isn't going to bring redundant items.
Oh, and he wrote out the envelop all by himself. Can you tell?
