I'm not a fan of garage sales; they're too much work for too little gain. Sam's been begging to sell his toys at one for weeks. Our neighbor was having a sale so I told Sam to go ahead and give it a try.
Oh yes, he rejected all pricing suggestions I made and insisted on his own. His pricing strategy? Maximizing paper money.
All set for business.
I'm sure $50 is reasonable for a $3 doodle board, right? $10 for a paperback book?
You wouldn't mind paying $10.50 for an inflatable airplane. That little pink ball is also priced at $10.
Business was a little slow but at least he had company.
Items sold: 2
Profit: $8
Time expenditure: At least 3 hours

LOL! What did he manage to sell for eight dollars??
He sold a Hot Wheels car carrier to our neighbor who has been looking for one for her son since he saw it at our house. She didn't quibble about the price. I couldn't believe it.
