This morning when I woke Sam he told me "You ruin EVERYTHING!" I didn't know I was so destructive but you might want to avoid me for awhile in case this is true.
I couldn't find Sam's boots as he was getting ready to walk to school; apparently he left them there yesterday but when I did a search of the various spots where he could have left them they were nowhere to be seen. Perhaps someone thought they were theirs and took them home by accident or perhaps we'll never see them again. But I'm VERY irritated about this; they were only a month old and had to be special ordered because he has a wide foot. I did NOT scream "You ruin EVERYTHING!" but I was tempted.
Now, do I teach him a lesson by making his spend his own money on new boots, shell out money for cheap uncomfortable boots, make him use the uncomfortable boots I found at a garage sale, or buy new boots and sew them to his feet?
Moving along but still on the boot theme, I was having a discussion with a colleague yesterday about the advances in boots since we were kids. I remember having plastic boots which always had holes in them by the time I was done with them. The solution? Plastic bags in the boots. She had the same boot memory. No wonder I always had cold feet!
I'm off to ruin more things....

Gosh, WHAT did you RUIN first thing in the morning??? A good night's sleep?
I bet the boots turn up - some kid probably took them home, and his mother will eventually figure it out and return them Let's hope!
