"I want to live on a farm!"

Me: Why?

Sam: I want chickens and cows.

Me: Where?

Sam: We can build on in the backyard.

Me: Burlington only allows four domestic animals per house and if we count the cats, we already have two.

Sam: Let's move to a farm.

Me: Well, we'd have to sell our house to buy one and that would take a long time. It's not an easy thing to do.

I go back to cooking and ignore Sam for a bit. When I next checked on him he was packing all his books and games in duffel bags.

Me: What are you doing?

Sam: I'm packing to move to a farm.

I had to think fast.

Me: We can move to a farm when you buy one with your allowance. We don't need to pack yet....
