And, as expected, he had an absolutely fabulous time in Woods Hole. When he walked in the door he gave me a huge hug and sat on my lap for a good long time; I needed that.
He spent nearly all day every day with his cousins and the other kids on the beach. Nick, his cousin, played camp counselor to all the younger kids and Sam loved it. There was an outing to the aquarium. He found the egg pod of a skate. He made sculptures with found items.
He told us tales of catching an eel, having it escape from the bucket, and putting it in a salt water tank in the kitchen with his starfish and minnow buddies (or dinner).
He has barnacle scratches on his feet from when he forgot his water shoes.
He wishes he could have stayed longer.
It was perfect.
