Adrenalin rush

This morning on my way to work I narrowly avoided a collision when some oblivious chick nearly ran into me in an intersection. Now, I’m thankful she didn’t but I did have one of those amazing adrenalin reactions that left me shaky for a good mile after that. Ah, reminders of our ancient fight or flight instinct…now it just made me pay less attention to the road than usual because of the shakiness and all.

I’m leaving in a matter of hours and probably won’t have an opportunity to update the blog until I get back. This morning I dropped Sam off at daycare with a heavy heart because I won’t be seeing him for days but he totally blew me off because they had set up the sensory table with blue water and soap suds! Ever so much more exciting than mom.

Daycare has some temporary openings this week so Ben will be bringing Sam in for the rest of the week. That’ll be easier for him than staying home with him but still, I remember Ben complaining that it takes him two hours to get Sam off in the morning so he’ll still have a bit of a challenge. And I bet Sam gets lots of tv and few veggies. Party time for Sam! Think Ben will appreciate the stuff I do a little more when I get back? Any bets on how the house will look?
