I've been meaning to get Sam some new shoes for a long time but procrastination got in the way or a recalcitrant Sam made it unfeasible or I just didn't think of it. The other day I finally pulled it all together and dragged Sam (still recalcitrant) to the store to get his feet sized. Oops! He’s now an eight but has wearing size six and a half shoes for ages. Then came the struggle to get him to try on shoes but in the end, it was worth it because he ended up with the cutest little hightops around! Just check it out. It’s amazing how much more he’s running with these than with his old shoes but that isn’t necessarily all good…
See the tricycle? Ben’s parents gave that to Sam for Christmas but we’d (um, Ben) never got around to putting it together so I finally did it the other day. I like it when Sam says “mama put bike together!” and it doesn't appear that my doing so caused Ben's masculinity to suffer. Exploring the intricacies of pedals is his project for this summer and I suspect he’ll succeed.

Well, the l'il Chuck Taylors are adorable, but they might've been even cuter had you gotten them in a size 6 1/2!
Sweet, sweet, sweet. Ya know, he looks more like you than like Ben in this picture. Is it really cold enough for all of those clothes? Hard to imagine from my perspective.
Good point Beth! LOL It would have made my life a bit easier, that's for sure.
And yup, it was cold the day we took the pictures of Sam on his bike. Windy and in the 40's. We went in because we were freezing although Sam wasn't happy about that.
