Every time we get in or out of the car, Sam yells "I drive car!" To Sam, this is the most exciting opportunity around. He slithers his way to the front seat, plops his little bottom down, grabs that steering wheel and merrily steers away while pulling and pushing any knob or button within range. I've let him play in there for up to 15 minutes and he still wasn't willing to leave the car.
He doesn't limit his driving "abilities" to the car though. Our neighor is having some work done on his garage so a backhoe has been parked in his back yard for nearly a week. Sam is overjoyed by this and is able to climb up on the seat and once again, steer away while pulling the many many levers and knobs within range.
Even so, if you see a car or backhoe driving down the street/sidewalk/into a house driven by a two year old, I DON'T know him.

I'll keep my eye out for a car that appears to have NO driver, unless Sam sits on a phone book when he drives!
