When he puts his train tracks together after a particularly challenging bridge section I'll hear him say "Hooray! Hooray for me!" from Little Quack. He even says it in the same high-pitched voice I use when I read the story to him.
I'll hear him saying "Roly poly pall mall tumble bumble" from the Pokey Little Puppy when he's bored and just needs a little self-chatter to make sure we know he's alive. When he's playing with his trains he'll say "Puff puff chug chug" from The Little Engine that Could and the other day I heard him singing "Brown bear brown bear what do you see?" from the book by the same name.
He doesn't limit his random chatter to books though, sometimes he'll repeat what we tell him. The other day he was walking around saying Rachmanioff. We enjoy putting strangely disjointed words into his head such as the time when Ben taught him to yell "bok choy!" because he liked the sound of it. That was generally coupled with "mach dumph" (I have no idea of the correct spelling for that - it's German for make haste) for some strange reason. Both need to be shouted at the top of your lungs for the appropriate effect.
Any suggestions for silly things we should teach him to say just for our own amusement?
