We’ve had a lot of rain over the past couple of days. Yesterday we stayed inside all day. I cleaned and Sam watched way too much funny-looking TV. But today we were going a bit stir crazy so Sam dressed up in his boots and raincoat and went puddle jumping. Simple pleasures. Of course I don’t have rain boots and a rain coat so when it started to pour I made him come back home. I’m such a mean mom.
You know you want another tadpole or as Sam called them today, frogpole, update. In three days they went from tiny specs to little swimming black sperm-like tadpoles. Picture? Of course. Are you bored yet?

Awwwwwww. That pic of Sam in the raincoat is just too adorable. Or is that Christopher Robin? Coach him to say, "Tut tut, it looks like rain."
Oh, BTW, keep the pictures of the tadfrogs coming. It's really cool to see the progression. NOT boring at all.
I'm not bored either. But then again, I'm easily amused, too.
Hey, I recognize that raincoat and those boots!
Lisa is right - Sam definitely needs an umbrella and a pooh bear.
He's got the pooh bear somewhere but he doesn't have an umbrella. That can be remedied. Is there anything else he needs to learn to say ala Chris Robin?
And I'll keep going with the tadfrogs until we get bored with them. That could be a long and tedious ride for everyone else.
Well, of course Sam need to be able to say, "Silly old bear!"
if you were showing your age(s) you'd know that they're really NOT boots but galloshes (spelling?)
great tadpolliwogfrogpole pics.
Science class was never this intriguing.
I always thought galloshes were those flimsey rubber things that fit right over yer shoes
I checked and it asked:
"Did you mean: galoshes?"
Then: Galoshes, also known as gumshoes, rubbers, or overshoes, are a type of rubber boot that one slips over shoes to keep shoes from getting muddy or wet.
Sam has boots although they're kind of big and might fit better if he actually wore them over his hightops...
