dang. How is it that you made pies already?? I just bought the ingredients a little while ago, and even that exhausted me. (might had to do with the Walmart shopping experience) lol They look delicious!
funny....here the wednesday before thanksgiving is for packing..which i'm not doing very good at. as far as i know, the closing date is around dec 8th....the weekend i usually cut down my tree....we'll see how that goes. the pies look delish..i have to work tomorrow, friday, and saturday.
They are gorgeous. Mine didn't look nearly as good as that but hey, I made my own pie crust. I thought of you the whole time, and I used my bare hands, just like you told me to a few summers back. I fear the crust was too thin in a few spots and may burn, but I've got foil over them as they bake and I'm hoping for the best. Sure smells good in here.
I want to see the pictures of what the pies looked like at the end of the day. Then I'll know whether they tasted as good as they looked. My two pies disappeared fairly quickly. I have about 2 pieces left "for the kids" er uh, for breakfast tomorrow.
Well, there is no more lemon meringue. RIP The apple looked better than it tasted because I used some local variety of apple that was labled "excellent" for baking but it tasted sort of flowery and that wasn't very appealing. I should stick to the classic mac. The pumpkin pie stayed here because I wasn't actually supposed to make a pumpkin pie but I discovered that I can't talk on the phone and measure reliably so I had too much crust and I decided to make a "home" pumpkin pie. Ben's sister brought pumpkin so mine is only half gone 'cause I don't like pumpkin pie although Ben and Sam do but we weren't home yesterday to eat it.
