A guest post from Beth who is sick of me not posting because of my increased need for (highly interrupted and non restful) sleep and too much work....
We are all getting older. But, in particular, PHYLLIS is getting older, as evidenced by the birthday cake that Caitlin and Robin baked for her birthday on Sunday, inscribed with the legend: "YOU ARE OLD" and impaled with a large number of candles to commemorate the day. (No, I am NOT going to disclose HOW MANY candles...) *
After all that baking, it's good that the family found time to smoke together before Caitlin had to rush back to college and before Robin had to do whatever it is that Robin does these days (which better NOT involve a deck of cards, if little missy knows what's good for her!)

*Beth doesn't want to disclose the number of candles because in July Beth will be having her own cake with the exact same number of candles. Don't look at me! I'm already there. But we're only as old as we feel, right? I feel 30.

omg too funny....you should have seen the smoke when they made me blow out those candles. I thought i was going to hyperventilate. I hope you guys were not too hard hit with the recent snow..and not on a holiday either. We got over a foot, and have just spent the last 24 hours in the dark. Thank god for the fireplace for heat, but omg i cannot live without my internet. It was entertaining to watch the kids play a game in front of the fireplace by candlelight tho. Happy Easter and have a great visit with your sister.
