He's out cold here. Doesn't it look as though he's very cozy and strangely but comfortably contorted and he'd sleep all night long?
Of course not!
He decided that it would be fun to keep us awake most of the night. That's bad but the impact on the today is the worst part. It is skating lesson day here in VT but the weather says summer (we went to the beach yesterday) and Sam wanted to swim instead of skate thus conflict preceded skating. He grumped and I gritted my teeth and tried to make it pleasant for him. He did great for the first half of the class, racing around the ice and somewhat paying attention to the teacher, until he suddenly decided to switch on the "this isn't easy I want to go home" mode. It annoyed me but I got on the ice to try to help him through it just as he decided he didn't want a crate assist any longer. That meant he'd skate about five feet before he'd fall down, cry that he couldn't get up, get up anyway, skate five feet, fall down, etc.
At the end of the lesson he didn't want to get off the ice despite saying he wanted to leave numerous times. What? I'm trying to make skating fun because winter is so damn long around here and it's a good outdoor activity but like the swimming lessons, I'm dreading the classes already.
We stayed after the lesson to watch a high school boys hockey game. He roared with laughter each time one of players fell as it is apparently much more amusing than when he falls himself. He also managed to collect a puck after it flew over our heads into the stands. Did I mention there was almost no one there?
We left when the thrill of the Zamboni wore off and headed out to get bagels. He had a total meltdown in the bathroom because he was dawdling and I decided I needed to pee more than he did and lets just say that did NOT go over well. How can he not be the center of the universe? I took the sniffling crying dude home, fed him, told him to rest, and cancelled the plans for a family hike up Mt Philo. The rest of our day is apparently going to be an onslaught of of whining and complaining followed by a very early bedtime. I hope yours is better.

What are you thinking, peeing more than he does? How dare you?! That's one frustrating day, for sure. Cute haircut though.
