I've been busy but not with things that make good stories. I know there are some people who can turn a very ordinary event into something amusing but that isn't really the way my brain works. Do you want to hear about the joys of swinging an axe to split the trunks of the trees and bushes I've been pulling out of the back yard? How about the challenge of finding uses for turnip greens? Perhaps about cutting a 3/8" piece of skin off my finger leading to the question will my fingerprint grow back or will I now have a permanent partial print? Maybe about how irritable I've been with Sam lately because he's been perfecting his methodology for getting under my skin? The cats seem to be losing a cat sized ball of fur each week, that's exciting too, right? I planted my little basil plants and they're doing well but my cilantro has been munched by some unknown backyard animal.
My life is filled with excitement at the moment.
Sam finds excitement in many places though and the mail is one of those things. Last week my Mom sent him a copy of "Pickles to Pittsburgh" which is a follow up to the wonderful "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs." He immediately decided he needed to send something to her so he packed some books into a manila envelop to send to her. I have no idea what books they are; in fact, I thought he may have accidentally returned "Pickles to Pittsburgh" to her.
Today Sam received a note from his Aunt Sarah with stickers! And tattoos! He was filthy from a fun-filled day at daycare so I suggested he take a bath before he applied the tattoos. The result:

excellent post! See? As individual events, your life is not so exciting this week, but throw all those disparate things together in one post, and it really does paint a picture! :-)
