Summer project

Each summer we seem to attack at least one project. This year it's replacing some boards on the porch to avoid having to replace the porch at any time in the near future. The destruction and construction portion of the project is done with a surprising discovery that our porch wasn't rotting out from underneath and that we wouldn't need to do any extremely expensive infrastructure work.
Sam enjoyed this projected, enjoyed chatting with the carpenter, and really enjoyed playing with the wood scraps.

It's gotta be a fluke, right??? Outer damage is always hiding something awful underneith. Isn't that the number one rule of home repair???
