May I introduce the cousins? We're missing only Kevin from Montana and he's a lot older than this crew. Front to back is Lukas (with the Simpsons), Abbie, Sam, Johnny (he's about 12 hours older than Sam), and Quinn.
They're a bunch of cutiepies if I say so myself. For the most part we just hung out at my parents but we did make a couple of field trips. One was to Bay Beach for rides such as the
bumper cars and the ponies.
I'm not sure why we bothered when there were such great rides back at my parent's place.
We also went to the zoo where we saw penguins somewhere in this tank.
There were also inanimate animals for riding such as this dinosaur.
Oh, and this lion too.
At least it wasn't doing what these lions were doing! Hey, get a room!
We tried to convince the kids to put their faces in one of those things that makes them look like penguins and such but they lost attention before I could get a shot from the front so they just look as though their faces were disconnected from their heads.
Back at home we ate a lot of food, sometimes in creative ways.
We also examined some lovely leaves.
And played in a huge sandbox.
Sam and Abbie worked out a new exercise routine.
And Sam entertained everyone with this little performance, compliments of Judyboo.
He topped off the vacation by infecting my sister's family, all five of them, probably through a move like this (cough cough), with some nasty chest infection that turned into one case of pneumonia and two cases of bronchitis. Since he doesn't believe he'll get over his illnesses if he doesn't give them to someone else, he should be very OVER this one, particularly if he infected everyone on the plane flying out. Yes, we were the people you didn't want to sit near on the plane. He also made sure to get me for good measure.
