Growth acceptance

Sam's growing up is a bittersweet thing. It's exciting to see all the new things he can do and hear about all his new adventures but I sometimes miss my little baby. I know this is a very common feeling but I didn't realize that kids can sometimes feel the same way.

Sam has outgrown nearly all his clothes so I've been getting him his winter wardrobe of "soft pants" aka sweats and long sleeved shirts. He looked at one of the new shirts, put his hands about a foot apart and said "That shirt is too big. My clothes are this big!"

Awww...Cute. Yes, my older kids have shown regrets over outgrowing clothes too. You know what? Luke used to call sweats "soft pants" too! Never fear though..now he wouldn't be caught dead in public in "soft pants". Jeans or nothing.
