Unintended consequences

It's exciting watch Sam learn to read. He's acquiring new skills at an astounding rate but he's put them to use in a way I hadn't expected.

He's added toys, candy (his first attempt ended with the "canned" answer which is really what may happen to all his additions to the list), crackers, and my favorite "coces" aka cookies.

Alas that cuteness of this isn't negating the irritating habit he's picked up of playing with everything in sight. Today Ben left a bag of those horrible Styrofoam peanuts in the living room and Sam couldn't leave them alone and soon he and the entire room were covered with them. I vacuumed them out of his hair which is a new experience for me. He also pulled a piece of plaster off the wall. Granted, the area needed to be repaired but he didn't need to take it from something we can easily ignore to something that takes more effort to ignore. He's also destroyed the toilet paper holder and broken my chair.

I think there needs to be kid damage insurance.

Hahahahaha. That is funny! I love kids spellings. They are the best. And..."G...G...G goes "guh", every letter has a sound, G goes "guh"!
