There are some who would say there is no such thing as too much candy but I'm beginning to think that might be wrong. I don't know where the candy tradition began given that I don't see a connection between candy and the ressurection of Christ but let's just let that go, shall we? I like candy so it's of little importance.
Sam seems to feel likewise. Last night we had Easter Dinner #1 with Ben's parents and Sam was only semi interested in the food until, of course, it was time for cookies. After dinner Susan and Seward presented Sam with an Easter basket of goodies: jelly beans, a little white chocolate rabbit and a Cadbury egg. Lucky for Sam, there were a few adults around who were willing to help him out with his excess jelly beans. S&S also gave Sam a sweet little book "The Runnaway Bunny" but it just can't compete with candy.
Today, Sam got a box from Ben's sister that had a stuffed dinosaur, shorts and a shirt, a little towel compressed into a disk, a toy bus, and of course, more candy! Sam generously shared with us once again.
Tomorrow the Easter bunny is going to visit him and I suspect he won't be receiving a whole lot more candy as we'd like him to retain his teeth.
