A family reportedly brought their three year old son to a Vermont Lake Monsters game Sunday evening. It started as a normal evening of hotdogs and Chessters, not necessarily in that order. As the boy was writhing around the seat on a sugar high, he was apparently spotted by a large green monster. The monster looked around to make sure there were no witnesses. Fortunately he didn't spot the camera. First he tried to bite off the boy's head. When that wasn't successful, he tried a more complex twist and pull technique. The boy managed to escape relatively unscathed. It was later determined that the beast had attacked the boy in an attempt to impress his girlfriend, a Ms. Lightning Bug. Police are investigating.Or was Champ* merely trying to score the dinner sampler shirt?
*Ben says he no longer wonders how Champ smells......and it's not lovely.

Anne,
I am so sorry I missed you guys last night. It looks like you had a great time. It looks like Champ has lost his fear of little boys or is it the other way around?
What are chesters?

In 1981, Ted Castle and his wife Anne, created ice cream cookie heaven - two homemade chocolate chip cookies packed with premium vanilla custard ice cream. Named after the couple's Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Chessters developed a loyal following among the regulars at the ice cream and deli store they opened in the Champlain Mill in Northern Vermont. Today, Chessters are still made in Vermont with only the highest quality ingredients and they continue to delight ice cream cookie fans of all ages. Try them and see!

And Judy, we looked for you as we left but didn't see you. We left before the 5th inning started.
Excellent action photos!
I hope Mom had a chesster, too.
