We had a slowish morning the other day, one that started with bunny toe repair. Kirby had chewed both feet of the bunny way back when and bunny has recently started to be a favorite, still known by the name "Bunny."
Shortly after said toe repair, bunny went on a field trip to visit a friend. We knew he came home but alas, we couldn't find him anywhere. On backtracking we found that bunny had taken a little field trip of his own in the basket of Sam's bike. Ben rescued him so he could join the other "friends" at bedtime.
Next up was knob installation. The knobs went on before the sink went in. They've very green too, just like the walls.
Sam decided it was party time and he didn't even have a drink although as an aside, he had a taste of a margarita the other day. Hopefully, the various faces he made is a good indication that he will be delaying his interest in alcohol for a good long time.
Finally, a selection of pictures we took at train day at the Shelburne Museum. The paper engineers hat was not much of a hit.
The merry-go-round definitely was.
Something about the trains made Sam look a little small.
There is news though, big happy news! We've finally got a functional second bathroom again. Cheers and high fives all around. You'd think that means it is done but of course that can't be true. It's functional as long as you're willing to pee in public because the door isn't on yet, no wordwork has been installed, and the towel bars and such are MIA but TWO FUNCTIONING TOILETS! A wonder and a joy. Sam enjoyed his first bath in two months and I'm already second guessing our decision to put hardwood in the bathroom.
Another reason to cheer is that I've finished sanding and have primed everything. Why do the walls look worse after priming? And why does impending paint make the rest of the house look as though it's in dire need of painting (well, in this case probably because it really does need to be painted.) Oh, I can't wait to have this finished but not so much that I was motivated to work on it today.

You can practice your painting skills here during your visit. Every room in the house needs painting.
Strangely, I really like the bright green knobs.
Great pictures from train day - thanks!
