Floor update

This is just for Beth. She's more interested in how the floors look than my vacation in WI. Hurmph!

Ben ended up putting three coats of poly on the floors while we were gone. The results? The floor is a bit darker in color which surprised me although in hindsight that's rather silly as the places where no sun was shining (under the couch and massive drawered thingy) the floors were darker already.

Here is a spot that was pretty bad before, right near the trashcan. It looks much better now.

In general, the floors look pretty good.

But it definitely wasn't a perfect solution. Right near the front door there is a spot where the floor was scratched and dirty. I must not have scrubbed enough because that spot still looks pretty bad as you can see over to the right.

Overall though, significantly improved. It's a little blotchy but once the furniture was in it was much less noticeable.

I wouldn't use this method in place of refinishing but at least it'll keep it from being totally destroyed before it's next officially refinished which I suspect will happen when we move out.
